And it shows. Six of the first nine workers employed in 1977 are still affiliated with Cable Marine today! Almost 60 percent of our workers have been with us for 10 years or more.
We continually challenge them to learn new technologies, from computers to engines and high-tech stabilizers. We take advantage of manufacturer’s training schools to ensure our technicians work efficiently and effectively to reduce hourly labor charges.
We never cut corners but we love to cut costs!

A MESSAGE FROM GEORGE CABLE
I would like to once again thank the thousands of boat owners, captains, marine surveyors and yacht brokers who have discovered Cable Marine services since our start in 1977. Many of you are more than customers; you are good friends. We thank you when you walk into the yard. We thank you when we finish a job for you. We couldn’t do it without you.
As Cable Marine celebrates over 3 decades serving the needs of thousands of boaters worldwide, I look back in amazement. The first few years, we operated out of the East yard. In 1983, we expanded our operations to the West yard on State Road 84.
Over the years, Cable Marine has owned and operated full-service boat yards in St. Petersburg, Palm Beach Gardens and Riviera Beach. The original Cable Marine partners helped develop several marine-related businesses serving the pleasure boater. You probably know D.S. Hull Company, Boat Owners Warehouse, BOW Worldwide Yacht Supply and Yacht Equipment Parts, Inc. These companies still operate under the ownership of Cable Marine “graduates”.
